A man named Walter Orthman achieved two feats last month: he turned 100 years old in good health, and the second one was recorded in the Guinness Book of Records. According to the Guinness Book of World Records, Orthmann’s professional career began exactly 84 years ago.
Orthmann founded Industrias Renaux S.A., now known as RenauxView, located in the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil. He was only 15 years old when he started working as a transport operator in a textile company named “In 1938, children were expected to work to support the family,” Orthmann said in his statement to Guinness World Records.
